That he succeeded in the competition made us happy. 一个句子 , 在 连词 的引导下，在另 一个句子中充当名词使用，叫名词 性从句。 宾语从句 1. 在复合句中做宾语，一般置于谓语动词、 动词不定式、动名词、分词、介词和某 些形容词之后。 2. 关联词 1）连词： that, whether, if 2）连接代词： who, what, which, whatever, whoever, whichever, whose 3）连接副词： when, where, how, why that that 在从句
3、中不充当任何成分 在口语或非正式文体中常被省去，但若从句并 列时，后面从句的 that不能省略。 主句谓语和宾语从句之间有插入语时，宾语从 句前的 that不能省略。 当 it做形式宾语， that引导真正宾语时，结构中 的 that不可省。 如果宾语从句含有主从复合句， that一般不省 略。 引导形容词的宾语时一般不省略 主语为 I, we, 在动词 think, believe, imagine, suppose, expect后接宾语从句时，否定前移。 1) I believe (that) he is honest. 2) I think (that) he is honest an

5、 do so. whether / if 1)一般可以互换 2)在从句中不充当任何成分 3)当与 or not连用和作介词宾语时要用 whether,不能用 if 4)当及物动词 doubt接宾语从句时，主句 为否定或疑问句时用 that, 主句为肯定 句时用 whether或 if 1) I dont know if / whether it is interesting. 2) Im not sure if / whether my son can come back home. 3) I wonder whether he will come or not. 4) Everything

The reason is that I like it very much. 3) 如果主句主语是 order, advice, suggestion, idea proposal, demand, request, desire, 等时 ,从句使用 虚拟语气 -should+动词原形， should可以省略。 His suggestion is that we (should) hold another meeting.
