Learn some new words, such as aggressive, deal, gesture,greet,formal, informal, position, trust, unconscious, weapon2. Sentence patterns: When I (do something ) I (body movement ) and say (something ).Reading Skills: 1. How to get the main idea of a text and choose a best title for it.2. Read the questions before reading the text, having a clear idea about what to read.3. Collect enough useful information to make a speech or design a short play after reading.Learning Skills:1. Learn to read a text and make full use of the information in it.2. Learn in groups and cooperate with the partners.Culture Awareness: Know different body language in different countries and learn to avoid culture shock in international communication.Teaching Difficult and Important Points: 1. How to deal with the language points while reading.2. How to finish large amount of teaching task in limited time.3. How to understand the differences between cultures.4. Help the students to express clearly and use some new words.Teaching Methods: cooperation, discovery Teaching Aids: the multi-media systemTeaching Procedures:(T: teacher S: student)Step I : Lead-inT: How do we communicate with each other in our daily life?S: We use spoken or written Language.T: Good. Now lets enjoy a short piece of performance to see whether there are some other ways. S: (Six girls put on performance Thankful Heart)T: Do you like their performance?S: Yeah.T: How did they express themselves just now?S: Through body language or body movement.T: Have you learnt some gestures?S: (eg: the students have learnt some gestures to express ,for example, “Love!”, “I love you.”, “rotate”)T: Good! In our daily life, we use both spoken and written language to communicate with each other. Besides, suitable facial expression and body movement can help us communicate better.Step II: Warming-upT: How much body movement do you use while communicating with others? (A game: Ask some students to choose A, B, or C and read the explanation ) A. Not at all B. Not much C.A lot Different choice stands for different meaning.If you choose A, You can read the following: There are few people in the world who can express themselves clearly without any help of body movement. Maybe, you are really very good at speaking and have a cool head. Sometimes, you seem very strict. It is possible for you to become a judge,a doctor or an engineer in the future. But, suitable body movements could make you more friendly than before.If you choose B, You can read the following. Those who dont communicate with body language often may be very shy. They always have good manners and dont like to show themselves off. The more you are with them the deeper you will know them. But they will lose some chances to make new friends or to be noticed by their teachers or bosses. So, be more active and you could be more popular. If you choose C, please read the following: You must play a very active part in your circle. Most great leaders like using body language while speaking. It is wonderful to smile, wave your hands or nod your head when you are making a speech. You can make yourself understood better! On the other hand, sometimes, too much body movement is boring in some conditions. So, try to listen to the others carefully, dont be noisy all the time. Dont forget to behave in good manners!T: Now you see how important body language is in our daily life.T: While speaking, some gestures are used very often, for example, “point”, “shake”, “smile” and “wave”. Can you match the four verbs with the pictures in Page 21.S: (Match the verbs and check the answer together)T: Pretty good. Can you give some other kinds of body language with the help of the sentence pattern? When I (do something ) I (body movement )and say (something ).S1: When I meet a friend I wave my hand and say “hello”.S2: When I show someone the way I point and say “This way please”.S3: When I see a friend in distance I wave my hand and say “Hi!”S: Step III Reading ComprehensionT: Now you see body language is very interesting. If you want to know more about it, please turn to page 22,. Lets read the text to get more information.T: First of all, please have a look at the questions in activity 1, 2 in half a minute.T: Now, please listen to the tape and enjoy your reading.S: (Read the text and try to understand it quickly, then try to find the best title for it. Body language is less communicative than spoken or written language.Step IV VocabularyT: Guide the students to learn some new words in the text, (aggressive, deal, gesture,greet,formal, informal, position, trust, unconscious, weapon) and do some exercises.1. You are the best actors and actresses in the world.Step VI. A gameT: At the end of this class, lets learn a word together “mind-reader”. Mind-reader is someone who can catch what you are thinking about easily according to your body movement, facial expressions or even a look in your eyes.T. So why not play a game to see whether you are a mind-reader.(Rules: Two students stand in front of the classroom, one faces the screen, the other faces the audience. The one who face the screen should express what he saw on the screen clearly enough in body language to make himself understood by the one who face the audience. )S: Enjoy the game.Step VII. Home work1. Make sentence with the new words.2. Write a short passage about different body language in different countries. Part 2 教学反思 完成一节课的教学任务,从教材分析、资源搜集、课堂内容设计、课件制作到课堂实际操作的完成,就像一个春天播种到秋天收获的过程。在备课的过程中我对这一节课充满了期待。但当我静下心来仔细体会这节课时却能发现很多的不足。在本节课中我一直尝试着让学生们以放松的心态来完成学习任务,但是这节课的最初几分钟,我却显得比他们还紧张,在布置任务的时候语速过快,表达不够清楚,好在师生平时比较熟悉,配合默契,能够很快领会彼此的意图。此外,在多媒体课件的设计上,应该更多地体现师生互动。我在设想在下一次使用课件时,可不可以有一部分课件由学生自己来操作。完成这节课的过程本身就很有趣,在课后游戏这一环节中我也情不自禁地参与进来。教学相长,教育本身就是快乐的。希望下一次我能做得更好。Part 3点评这节阅读课总体看张弛有度,活泼却又不失严谨。以歌曲表演导入,自然引出身势语,热身环节中利用身势语判定一个人的性格,新颖有趣;阅读课文注意引导学生学习阅读方法;最后以游戏收尾,高潮迭起。美中不足的是,个别环节的衔接稍显突兀,阅读课特点还应突出些。111- 配套讲稿:
