Every time, without exception. People who get under objects, like desks or cars, are always crushed.Cats, dogs and babies all naturally often curl up(蜷曲) in a fetal position._2_ It is a natural safety instinct. You can survive in a smaller void(空间). Get next to a large bulky object, such as a sofa that will compress slightly but leave a void next to it.Wooden buildings are the safest type of construction to be in during an earthquake. There are two reasons. _3_ Secondly the wood can move with the force of the earthquake. If the wooden building does collapse, a large survival void is created. Also, the wooden building has less concentrated, crushing weight. Brick buildings will break into individual bricks. Bricks will cause many injuries but less squashed bodies than slabs of concrete. If you are in bed during the night and an earthquake occurs, simply roll off the bed. A safe void will exist around the bed.If an earthquake happens while you are watching television and you cannot easily escape by getting out of the door or the window, then lie down and curl up in a fetal position next to a sofa, or a large chair._4_ How? If you stand under a doorway and the door frame falls forward or backward you will be crushed by the ceiling above. If the door frame falls sideways you will be cut in half by the doorway. In either case, you will be killed!_5_ The stairs swing separately from the main part of the building until they break away from the remainder. The stairs are a likely part of the building to be damaged. Even if the stairs are not collapsed by an earthquake, they may collapse later when overloaded with people who are fleeing. They should always be checked for safety, even when the rest of the building is not damaged.AFirstly the wood is flexible.BEverybody who gets under a doorway when buildings collapse is killed.CGo to the stairs.DHow to Survive in an EarthquakeEEarthquakes Are the Most Dangerous DisasterFNever go to the stairs.GYou should curl up in an earthquake too.答案:15DGABF- 配套讲稿:
