25、全，不能单独作谓语，必须和动词原形连用。情态动词没有人称和数的变化。could 的用法1. could是can 的过去式，在过去时态中表示能力，推测，可能性等。eg: When he was young, he could draw wonderful pictures. They couldnt be here for they were in London at that time.2. could用来表示请求给予帮助或请求允许，以示委婉的，礼貌的或不确定的语气，其句式为： Could 主语please动词原形其他成分?而can则不具备这些语气，此时不能将它看作can的过去式。eg: -C

I have to go out.说明：1）做出肯定回答时通常用Yes, I can./Sure./Certainly./Yes,(do) please./Of course./ Thats OK./All right. 2）如果不同意，可以说Im sorry. I cant./ Im really sorry, but I have to use it today.要避免说No, you cant.这样显得很不礼貌。否定回答通常用委婉语气。
