3、entinteachingnewwordsismuchmorethanthetimeplannedinTB，soIbelievethatitistheword-teachingwhichaffectsourteachingefficiency.Then，howtoteachEnglishwordsincountyschools？ThemethodIhavetakenistheonethatcombinestheoldandthenew，thatstosay，teachallthenewwordsofoneunitinonlyoneclasswiththetraditionalteachingm
4、ethod，thenusetheFSTMonelessonbyonelessonaccordingtoTB.ItisthegoalsofthelessonandtheinterestofthestudentswhichIpaymoreattentiontoduringmyteachingpractice.First，aboutthegoals.ThekeytolearnEnglishwordsfromthebeginningistofosterthestudentsabilitytoreadandspelloutawordaccordingtoitsphoneticsymbolandthepr

6、houtgrammar，averylittlethingcanbeconveyedandwithoutwords，nothingcanbeconveyed.Fromthesewords，wecanknowhowimportantthewordsare.Then，whatsthewaytorememberwords？Inmyopinion，oneshouldrememberwordswhenthemeaningofthewordsisknownwellafterthewordsareusedforseveraltimes.Wecanmakethestudentslisten，speak，read
7、，write，andusethewordstomakesentences，substitute，translate，andsoon.And，Ialsotellthestudentssomethingaboutthepartsofspeechandword-building.Forexample，tolearntheword“health，Itellthestudentssomethingabout“healthy.“Healthisanoun，but“healthyisanadjective.Theletter“ymakesanounbecomeanadjective.Weshouldsay“
8、Healthisimportant，“Itsgoodforoneshealthand“keepingoodhealth.Andweshouldalsosaythat“keephealthy，“behealthyand“ahealthyhabit.Aftersuchexplanation，thestudentshavemuchdeeperimpression.OnebasicprinciplethatshouldbeadheredtoinLanguage-Learningisthatpronunciation，spelling，partsofspeechandmeaningshouldbemen
9、tionedtogethereverytime.Thus，theteachingeffectcanbeheightenedforsure.Second，theinterestofthestudents.Word-learning，especiallymanywordstaughtandrememberedtogetherisverydull.So，weshouldspendmoretimeonthevarietyofteachingmethodsandtrytofindtheonewithwhichthestudentswouldlearnthewordsmoreeasilyandbearth
