Having a few days to kill before returning home for the Christmas break, he hops on a train to New York. There he spends his time wandering aimlessly from one brief encounter to another, getting progressiv

4、ely more disgusted with what he calls the phoniness of the adult world. While the story is coming to the end,Holden spoke out his mind: I just want to be a catcher in the rye,and catch the naughty kids who is running to the cliff.I know it may be a crazy thought,but I just like it. I know its crazy, but thats the only thing Id really like to be. In my opinion,his dream is: To protect kids from spoiling by earthliness(世俗) and hypocrisy. To
