2019-2020年高中英语 综合能力测评3 新人教版必修2.doc

2019-2020年高中英语 综合能力测评3 新人教版必修2本套试卷分为第卷(选择题)和第卷(非选择题)两部分。第卷60分,第卷40分,共100分。考试时间90分钟。第卷(选择题共60分).阅读理解(共两节;满分40分)第一节(共15小题;每小题2分,满分30分)ADo American children still learn handwriting in school? In the age of the keyboard, some people seem to think handwriting lessons are on the way out. 90% of teachers say they are required to teach handwriting. But studies have yet to answer the question of how well they are teaching it. One study published this year found that about three out of every four teachers say they are not prepared to teach handwriting. Some teachers are teaching handwriting by providing instruction for 1015 minutes a day, and then other teachers basically teach it for 60 to 70 minutes a daywhich really for handwriting is pretty much. Many adults remember learning handwriting that wayby copying letters over and over again. Todays thinking is that short periods of practice are better. Many experts also think handwriting should not be taught by itself. Instead, they say it should be used as a way to get students to express ideas. After all, that is why we write. Handwriting involves two skills. One is legibility, which means forming the letters so they can be read. The other is fluencywriting without having to think about it. Fluency continues to develop up until high school. But not everyone masters these skills. Teachers monly report that about one fourth of their kids have poor handwriting. Some people might think handwriting is not important any more because of puters and voice recognition programs. But Steve Graham at Vanderbilt says word processing is rarely done in elementary school, especially in the early years. American children traditionally first learn to print, and then to write in cursive(草体字), which connects the letters. But guess what we learned from a spokeswoman for the College Board, which administers the SAT college admission test. More than 75 per cent of students choose to print their essay on the test rather than write in cursive.1We can learn that_ from Paragraph 1.A. teaching handwriting is a basic requirement in teaching jobB. most teachers prefer to teach handwritingC. teachers spend little time in teaching handwritingD. a keyboard has taken the place of the handwriting entirely2Which of the following is WRONG for traditional handwriting in the USA?A. The students are taught by practising a long period.B. The letters are repeated many times.C. Handwriting includes two skills.D. To write in cursive is taught first.3The best title for the passage is “_”A. How to improve handwriting in school B. Right or wrong: the death of handwritingC. Handwriting involves two skills D. Handwriting lessons are on the way out4The authors attitude towards whether still to learn handwriting in school is_A. negative B. objective C. critical D. optimisticBAs puters bee all the more popular in China, Chinese people are increasingly depending on puter keyboards to input Chinese characters. But if they use the puter too much, they may end up forgetting the exact strokes(笔画)of each Chinese character when writing on paper. Experts suggest people, especially students, write by hand more.Do you write by hand more or type more? In Beijing, students start using a puter as early as primary school. And puter dependence is more widespread among university students. Almost all their homework and essays are typed on a puter. All the students interviewed say they usually use a puter. Its faster and easier to correct if using a puter. And thats why puters are being applied more and more often to modern education. But when people are taking_stock_in puters increasingly, problems appear.“When Im writing with a pen, I find I often cant remember how to write a character, though I feel Im familiar with it.”“Im not in the mood to write when faced with a pen and paper.”Many students dont feel this is something to worry about. Now that its more convenient and quick to write on a puter, why bother to handwrite? Many educators think differently. Shi Liwei, the headmaster of a famous primary school in the capital said, “Chinese characters enjoy both practical and aesthetic(审美的) value. But those characters typed with puter keyboards only have their practical value. All the artistic beauty of the characters is lost. And handwriting contains the writers emotion(情绪). Through ones handwriting, people can get to know ones thinking and personality. Beautiful writing will give people a better first impression of them.”To encourage students to handwrite more, many primary schools in Beijing have made writing classes pulsory(必修的)and in universities, some professors are asking students to turn in their homework and essays written by hand.5Which of the following statements of the advantages of handwriting is NOT true? AChinese characters enjoy both practical and aesthetic value.BHandwriting can impress people well and build up ones selfconfidence.CHandwriting contains the writers emotion.DThe writers thinking and personality are shown in his or her handwriting.6The underlined expression “taking stock in”(in Paragraph 4) probably means “_”. Agetting bored with Bgetting curious aboutCbeing crazy about Dgetting dependent on7We can infer from the passage that _. Awriting by hand will give way to typing by puter one dayBmore and more students will give up writing on a puterCmore and more students will pay attention to handwritingDthe typed article better expresses ones emotion and qualityCResearchers are placing robotic dogs in the homes of lonely old people to determine whether they can improve the quality of life for humans. Alan Beck, an expert in humananimal relationship, and Nancy Edwards, a professor of nursing, are leading the animalassisted study concerning the influence of robotic dogs on old peoples depression, physical activity, and life satisfaction. “No one will argue that an older person is better off being more active, challenged, or stimulated (刺激),” Edwards points out. “The problem is how we promote that, especially for those without friends or help. A robotic dog could be a solution.”In the study, the robot, called AIBO, is placed for six weeks in the houses of some old people who live alone. Before placing AIBO in the home, researchers will collect baseline data for six weeks. These old people will keep a diary to note their feelings and activities before and after AIBO. Then, the researchers will review the data to determine if it has inspired any changes in the life of its owner.“I talk to him all the time, and he responds to my voice,” says a seventyyearold lady. “When Im watching TV, hell stay in my arms until he wants down. He has a mind of his own.”The AIBOs respond to certain orders. The researchers say they have some advantages over live dogs, especially for old people. Often the elderly are disabled and cannot care for an animal by walking it or playing with it. A robotic dog removes exercise and feeding concerns.“At the beginning, it was believed that no one would relate to the robotic dog because it was metal and not furry,” Beck says. “But its amazing how quickly we have given up that belief.”“Hopefully, down the road, these robotic pets could bee a more valuable health helper. They will record their masters blood pressure, oxygen levels, or heart rhythms. AIBOs may even one day have games that can help stimulate older peoples minds.”8The purpose of Beck and Edwards study is to _. Aunderstand humananimal relationshipBfind the causes of old peoples lonelinessCmake lonely old peoples life betterDpromote the animalassisted research9In the research, the old people are asked to _. Anote the activities of AIBOsBkeep AIBOs at home for 12 weeksCanalyze the collected informationDrecord their feelings and activities10What is the advantage of AIBO over live dogs? AIt can watch TV with its owner.BIt can help the disabled people.CIt responds to all the human orders.DIt is easier to keep at home.11The author seems to suggest that the future robotic dogs may _. Akeep old people active Bcure certain diseasesCchange peoples beliefs Dlook more like real dogsD“I sometimes get up at three or four in the morning and I surf the Net.”“I often check my email forty times a day.”“I often spend more than three hours during one time on the Net.”“I spend more time in chat rooms than with my reallife friends.”Do you know any people like these? They are part of a new addiction called Internet addiction. Internet addicts spend at least thirty to forty hours online every week. The use of the Internet can be an addiction like drug use. People lose control of the time they spend on the Internet. For example, one college student was missing for several days. His friends were worried, and they called the police. The police found the student in the puter lab: he was surfing the Net for several days straight.Studies show that about 6% to 10% of Internet users bee addicted. And people worry about the teenagers because the Internet is changing the playing field for some of them. They spend more time in cyberspace than in the real world of friends and family. Is “surfing the Net” a hobby or an addiction for you? You may have a problem if you have these symptoms:You do not go to important family activities or you do not do school work because you like to spend hours on the Internet. You cant wait for your next online time. You plan to spend a short time online, but then you spend several hours. You go out with your friends less and less.12What does the beginning of the passage tell us?A. In fact, some people say the word is used more often than any other word in the world. OK means all right or acceptable.
