However, an incident that a old black woman was determined for not giving up for seat to the white started protests in Montgomery. Whats more, it eventually led to legal changes in minority rights, ushering in a new era of the civil rights movement in the United States. A woman named Rosa Park who finished her high school in twenty one became the starter. In begin, she opposed to leave her seat for white person and was arrested, Later the Woman Political Council which was formed by a group of black activist women called for all blacks in the city to boycott the city buses.,.,The Montgomery bus boycott continued for 381 days. Finally it ended with the decision which made the separation illegal on city buses. As Rosa Park was dismissed and could not find another job, she had to move to Virginia, later Detroit, Michigan. Though the years, she continued to work for the NAACP and appeared at civil rights events. At the same time, she received two of the nations highest honors for her civil rights activism including the President Medal of Freedom from President Clinton and the Congressional Gold Medal of Honor. When she died on October 24, 2005 at the age of ninety-two, her body lay in honor in the United States Capitol building in Washington . Thirty thousand people walked silently past her body to show their respect.,.,
