When someone is talking loudly next to you, you could say politelyto them, “Would you mind _your voice ?”

、at annoys you ? I get annoyed when. What do you usually say when that happens ? I usually say, “Would you mind (not ) doing? / Could you please(not) do?”Step 2: Presentation 在多媒体上展示生活中常见的(也是课文中提到的)六个不好的行为,借此教学一部分新单词:cut(cutting) in line, wait in line / join the line, smoke(smoking), put(putting) out

、 , cigarette, spit(spitting), talk loudly, keepdown, voice, drop litter, pickup, cough loudly, sneeze(sneezing) loudly, break the rules of etiquette. What can you do if you see someone breaking the rules of etiquette ? Would you mind(not)doing? / Could you please (not) do?

1. something about etiquette: Etiquette is a very important idea to understand. Etiquette is not the same in every culture and in every situation. Some rules of etiquette are the same almost everywhere in the world.2.

、 ways to give polite suggestions3. some words and expressions让学生跟读今天所学的内容。 Step 7: Consolidation(If we have time) Step 8: Homework Level A: Write a letter to someone who always annoys you, using the words and expressions: talk loudly, keepdown, voice, drop litter, pickup, Wou

、ld you mind (not )doing? / Could you please(not) do? 等。 Level B: Look for more information about etiquette in different cultures and in different situations on the Internet. 本课中,本人用六幅图片教学课文中的表示行为的词汇: cut in line, wait in line / join the line, smoke*,

、 put out, cigarette, spit, keepdown, voice*, drop* litter*, pick*up, cough*, sneeze(其中标有*的是四会词)。2. 在Find the best summaries for each paragraph 利用以旧带新,英文释义的方法教学词汇:impolite*, uncomfortable, politely, allow*, break* the rules, behavior, public*, perhaps, take care,

、 be careful*, at first(其中标有*的是四会词)。 4. 5. 利用“用关键词提问”的方式,强化一部分四会词汇: break the rules of etiquette, cut in line, smoke, drop litter, be careful。6.

如果要求学生分组讨论“Which are good behaviors ? Which are bad behaviors ?” 一些不好的行为的词汇以及应该做的行为的词汇,如, talk loudly, keep your voice down, drop litter, pickup, smoke, put out, cigarette, play too loud, turn down, spit.
