1、知识点讲解1. making a list of things for my trip.list n. 名单, 清单 是可数名词,常用于a list of短语中。 He wrote down his name on the list. 他将他的名字写在清单上。 He crossed his name off the list. 他把他的名字从名单上划掉。 Does the club have a list of its all members? 俱乐部里有全体成员的名单吗? make a list 列清单 He made a list of the things he wanted. 他开出自

2、己所需物品的清单。 You must make a list of things you must do. 你应把自己必须做的事列一个单子。 Try to make a list of these expressions. 设法把这些短语列一个表。list v. 列出 及物动词, 接名词或代词作宾语。 The pupils were asked to list the sports they loved most and hated most. 学生们被要求列出他们最喜欢的和最讨厌的运动。 He listed all the things he had to do. 他把自己必须做的事列成表。

It depends on your personal choice.depend v. “依赖；依靠；视而定”, 接宾语时与 on 或 upon 连用。如： We shouldnt depend on foreign countries for oil. 我们不应当依赖外国的石油。 The price depends on the quality. 价钱取决于质量。 All de

10、pends on the weather. 一切取决于天气。常用短语 ： (1)depend upon / on it 表示“无疑地；的确” ，为副词性短语，主要用于口语中，通常放在句首或句末；或用作动词性短语，表示“相信” 。 Depend on it, they will pass the examination. 请放心，他们一定会通过考试的。 (2)That (all) depends = It (all) depends，意思是“这很难说；那得看情况(而定) ”主要用于口语中。 I may help you, but that / it depends. 我也许会帮助你，但得视情况而

We provide books, provide v. 提供, 供应 That hotel provides good meals. 那家旅馆供应丰盛的膳食。 Ill be glad to provide a copy of this. 我将很乐意提供这东西的一个副本。 They would not provide any details. 他们不肯提供任何细节。 They provided him with a car and driver. 他们为他提供了一辆汽车和一位司机。provide常用于下列结构: (1)provide sb. with sth.提供给某人某物，如:

I prefer groups that play quiet and gentle songs. 我更喜欢演唱轻柔音乐的组合。 Jennifer prefers musicians who write their own lyrics. 詹妮弗喜欢自己写歌词的音乐家。(2) prefer sth to sth 比更喜欢 Which would you prefer coffee to milk? 咖啡和牛奶，你喜欢哪一个？ I prefer milk to coffee. 与咖啡相比，我更喜欢牛奶。 I prefer walking to cycling. 我喜欢步行

17、，不喜欢骑自行车。 (3) prefer to do sth 宁愿做某事 She prefers to be alone at home. 她宁愿独自在家。辨析like doing sth. & prefer (doing) sth.的区别:like意为“喜欢、喜爱”，是一般用语，主要是指对某人或某物产生好感或发生兴趣，不带有感情色彩，后面可接名词、代词、动名词、动词不定式作宾语。I like watching TV. 我喜欢看电视。 Do you like singing? 你喜欢唱歌吗？ prefer 有“更喜欢”的意思， 或者说 “更倾向于” 。“prefer名词或动名词”表示“宁愿，更喜欢”。He comes from Shanghai, so he prefers rice. 他是上海人，因此更喜欢吃米饭。I prefer going by bike. 我宁愿骑单车去。I prefer the white one. 我更喜欢那个白的。
