2、HowardGoldblatt,whohasrenderedotherworksofMoYan,makesgreatcontributiontoconveyingMoYansideologiesaswellasthetraditionalChineseculturetotheworld.Cultureisindispensabletoourdailylife,andlanguageisthecarrierofculture.Assuch,theculturaldifferencesbetweenEnglish-spokencountriesandChinaexertgreatinfluence
3、sontheprocessoftranslation.ThispaperaimstodiscussexcerptsofEnglishversionofBigBreastsandWideHipswithrespecttoregionalculture,thinkingpatterns,socialcustomsandreligiousbeliefs.ThispaperalsoanalyzeshowGoldblattusestranslationstrategiestotackletheseculturaldifferences.2.CulturalDifferencesandTranslatio
4、n2.1RegionalCultureDifferentregionalculturesformdifferentcognitionsonthesamethingthatcanbeembeddedwithrichconnotationanddenotationinonelanguagecontext.Meanwhile,itcanalsobenothingspecialinotherlanguagebackground.Fromthisperspective,howsourcetextisappropriatelytranslatedintothetargetlanguage?Thefollo
