You can call me Mr. Bao. I hope we will have a great time. Now first let me kn

4、ow you.Step 2 Leading-in1) Ask some individual students questions, and then ask the whole class what he/ she said. I help them to answer and point out “direct speech” & “reported speech”.T: How are you? Students answer: I am fine/ OK/ wellT: How do you get to school? Students answer: I walk to schoo

5、lThe class: He said he was fine/ he got to school by bike2) Have students read after me.3) Have students practice the “direct speech” & “reported speech” like this:e.g. A: How do you get to school? B: I walk to school. C: What did he say?D: He said he walked to school.Step 3 Tell us what you can.1)

6、Ask some individual students what they can do. After he& she answers the question, I will have the whole class answer what he/ she said.T: What can you do? S: I can sing/ dance/ swimT: What did he/ she say? The class: He said he could sing/ dance/ swim2) Have students read after me.3) Have students

7、practice the “direct speech” & “reported speech” like this:e.g. A: What can you do? B: I can sing. C: What did he say? D: He said he could sing.Step4 Tell us what you are doing.1) I will ask one student to open the door or close the window, and then I will ask him/ her what he/ she is doing. Next I

8、have the class answer what he/ she said.2) Ill give some individual students papers on which were printed actions. After he/ she answers the question, I will ask the class what he/ she said.3) Have students read after me.4) Have students practice the “direct speech” & “reported speech” like this:e.g

11、said he would/ was going to be a teacher.Step6 Grammar Focus1) Definition: I will explain “Direct Speech”& “Reported Speech”.引述或转述别人的话称为“引语”。直接引用别人的原话,两边用引号“”标出,叫做直接引语。用自己的语言转述别人的话,不需要引号这叫做间接引语。2) Tenses transform: Guide students to find the verbs transform when we change the direct speech into the
