It mainly talks about daily activities in their free time by using some adverbs of frequency. Students are familiar with this topic

2、. So all the activities in this unit are helpful to arouse students learning interests. In this period students should also know how to keep healthy by doing some things. After presenting the new learning points, I will arrange Ss to do different teaching tasks. The target language is the basic for

3、Ss to learn the other contents of this unit. So its very important to learn this lesson well. 二Analysis of the students The students have learned English for more than one and a half year in middle school. They know some English, but some of them didnt learn it well. Especially, most of them are afr

4、aid to speak English. So during my class, I will design some interesting games to cultivate them to participate. They will be interested in class. 三Teaching aims and demands 1. Knowledge and ability objectives 1.Students learn to talk about their weekend activities using the target language. “What d

5、o you do on weekends? What does she / he do on weekends? ” 2. The students should master the adverbs of frequency: always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever, never and some phrases: once, twice, three times a week, every day, twice a month.3. The Students should be able to use the target langua

6、ges “How often do you do ?How often does she / he do? ” to talk about how often they do things. (Free time activities)2. Moral objectivesHelp students form a good eating habits and healthy lifestyle. Do exercise every day and keep healthy.四Teaching methods As we all know, the main instructional aims

7、 of learning English in the middle school is to cultivate students abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson Ill mainly use the Communicative Approach and Task-based Language Teaching as the main teaching methods. That is to sa

8、y, Ill let the Ss get a better understanding of the target language. Ill arrange more activities to consolidate the target languages.五Teaching key point The students should master the key vocabulary and the target language presented in this class. “ the adverbs of frequency: always, usually, often,

(The aims of design: It aims to arouse the students interests. Let them enter into the English environment as soon as possible)Step 2 Presentation 1.Teach

11、new words and expressions by showing some pictures. T: ask students “What do you usually do on weekends ? Do you like doing exercise ? ” I usually watch TV, read books, exercise, play football, go shopping, go to movies .on weekends. (The aims of design: To help students review the knowledge they ha

12、ve learned before to introduce the topic and they also help students to be relax to speak English.)2. 13、ot at all never 从不 0not ever, not at any time Step 3. Have a look. Look at the pictures. Ask students what he/she does on weekends. Discuss with your partners. Let some Ss read out their activities. Then make conversations each other . (The aims of design: To enable the students to study in groups ,

14、then help students to communicate with each other.)Step 4 Pair work T: “What do you usually do on weekends? I usually watch TV .How often do you exercise ? Once or twice a week . ” Teacher explains the phrases, then show some names of activities and some adverbs of frequency. Let students according

15、to this and make conversations.(The aims of design: These activities will improve the ability of cooperating with others and share their ideas with them. then it can encourage students to speak out. It will consolidate the target languages and students will know how to use them in correct situations

16、.)Step 5. Listening Work on 2a: 1. Let Ss read the phrases in the chart. 2. Tell Ss that Chen Tao is taking about how often he does these activities. Play the recording for the first time. Ss listen and number the activities 1-5.3. Play the recording for the second time for the Ss to check the answe

17、rs.Work on 2b:1. Tell Ss they will hear the recording again. This time, listen and match the activities in 2a with how often Chen Tao does them.2. Ss listen and math the activities with the phrases. 3. Check the answers. (The aims of design: To improve their ability of listening and reading. They ar
