The first one is the resurrection of the spirit and the language and culture of ancient mythology. The second one is escaping from the reality with the anti-modern tendency and

The third one is the expression of the Christian redemption of original sin, Sin Salvation belief and the pursuit of good. The last one is to praise heroism of ordinary people. Those ideas all aim to meet a

In addition, meeting the needs of the public mind, the demand for anti-modern and application of the maturity of digital are also key e

The desire of the human imagination will never pass, and magic films are to meet the human development of civilization and the

I believe that magic movies will be still quite a long glorious to continue.2 Culture Interpretation of the Lord of the Rings As the Lord of the Rings at the beginning said, history became legend, legend became myth. The story of the film should be plac

Lord of the Rings is on Western culture context, which is based on the historical background and selected from the legendary events, the reformed legend has developed into an unattainable

This is a shocking movie to

22、 millions of people; it is adapted from the British writer Tolkiens original literary masterpiece, Lord of the Rings. It is a fantasy novel so much as it is a myth. And the other a character or a fictional event is different from a fictional world of Nakasu .The world is very real, detailed descript

Tolkien believes that the life in Plains is the same as we live. In the Nordic mythology, the earth is the literal meanin

That is not to say these things have happened, but rather through which the creation of the myth of the

It is important from the European nation; Germans also had their own unique myths in history, once is widely populated in Europe. Analysis of the film from

26、several angles we can see, Lord of the Rings everywhere is filled with the shadow of Norse mythology. First, the Lord of the Rings in the Elf and Dwarf race is only in the Nordic mythology, the image appears. When Tolkien describes dwarves and elves, he follows the name of their ancient Nordic mytho

Second, Tolkien designs a ring as the most powerful treasures the Lord of the Rings, which is consistent with the most powerful weapon in Norse mythology, Odin. In the eyes of Tolkien, myth is a real presence; he struggles

28、 to avoid a groundless fabrication. He devotes his life to the epic of ancient myths, from the collective fantasies of absorbing European nutrients, in order to enrich his own Nakasu world. Lord of the Rings is not only a manifestation of extraordinary imagination, but also the resurrection of Europ

Yet Tolkien thinks that reality that is a material and political progress, escape means the overall refusal of reality. Thus, in essence, Tolkien has anti-modern (Anti -

(Liweiwei 3)2.2.1 The Fear of Modern TechnologyWhen the Sarumans military with an ax and fire forest, old trees in the forest Ents outbreak unprecedented power. They wake up the whole forest, razed the Sarumans castle to the ground. If the Lord of the Rings re

In common with the Beat Generation in the twentieth century, industrial technology and the damage caused by the war, force Tolkien to escape reality

32、 as well as doubt, denial and resistance all unnatural things. Before the industrial age, Tolkien is full of warm memories. In his view, the twentieth century is in recession; People should return to the tradition, look for the original moral and living environment. But he also understands the power

33、 of modern is hard to resist, eventually the past tradition in the memory will die out as the fate of the British Empire. Lord of the Rings has a touch of sadness, after the destruction of the Rings, the most amazing things have left, and everything has gone, Middle-earth is going to be the indiffer

It is a commercial film, while it is an authentic reflection of the United States, a mas

35、terpiece of humanism. In the Lord of the Rings, different races living in different environments are not only the embodiment of simple, but represent their own culture and history. The most obvious manifestation is that the trees in the forest directly involved in the war against Saruman. They have

36、their own thoughts and mind, history and race. They directly communicate with human and other races, and link to them. Through those closely connection, man and nature establish a free and harmonious relationship. No matter how successful in all areas, if the wisdom of science and technology eventua

To overcome or inhibit the negative effects of science and technology, technological means are absolutely not enough; it needs human spirit and human reason to estab

Above all, from the ecological sense, the Lord of the Rings reflects a long-term conflict between man and nature in reality; meanwhile, it reminds audience to protect our environment.2.3 Reflection of ReligionIn the Lord of the Rings, the sp

The entire movie shows that heart is the key to salvation. 2.3.1 Religious characters in the Lord of the RingsGandalf an

Therefore, from the mission of speaking, Gandalf is the carrier of Jesus in the Middle-earth. Frodo is the sacrifice of a lamb, who burden with the evil Lord of the Rings world and exper

As the Lord of the Rings of Sauron, it is carrying all the sins of Middle-earth, Frodo carries it, just like Jesus, who bears all the sins of mankind. The

Those reflect the writers personal understanding for the Christian and construct a perfect interpretation about the Bible. 2.3.2 Good and EvilWith a very strong religious metaphor, and the authors understanding of religion, good and evil,

45、 fall and redemption, crime and punishment, compassion for others and their own introspection, Lord of the Rings has a religious feeling of pity. At the end of the movie, Gollum followed Frodo, bent to kill him and took away Lord of the Rings. Frodo caught Gollum, but put down the sword, because he

46、said since I saw him, they inevitably have mercy on him. (Tolkien J.R.R, The return of the king M)As the belief of Christian, compassion is a salvation. Finally, Frodo was conquered by the inner desire, put on a Lord of the Rings. Gollum stole the ring and fell into the abyss together with the Lord

Tolkien in general tend to be pessimism, however, the softest place in his heart still holds the hope of life. He wants to tell people that even if

48、 the world was disappointing, do not give up the pursuit of good.2.4 Heroism of American movieUnited States is a country of advocating hero. Americans love heroes, but also are short of heroes. Film is a national carrier of culture; the heroes in the movie are more likely to be worshiped as idol.2.4

These people just do not exist in reality, so we need fiction to give a perfect image of comfort to our soul, and Americans reflect it in the Hollywood movies. In this film, though Frodo is not a brave and fierce hero in a traditional concept, but he can carry the most weight on his shoulder, he is a typical image of ordinary people to save the world. 2.4.2 Heroisms of t

Tolkiens legendarium)from a quiet village, Frodo, takes the mission of looking for the way even if the great man could not find, his fate is bound to be sinister. But

54、 he knew that it is my duty, no one can bear.”(Tolkien J.R.R, The return of the king M)Frodo as a hero embodies the tragic fate of a man and heroic struggle against the value and dignity. Frodo and his companions are inconspicuous hobbit who have been a quiet life, but suddenly, Lord of the Rings ch

They successfully proved themselves by those simple and valuable virtues: courage, courageous, fearless, friendship and love, all of

Lord of the Rings heroism touched the hearts of hundreds of millions of readers, its not about how heroes fight to defeat the enemy, but about why they fight for and why their friends lose their life.

57、Finally, the movie ends in an ordinary Hobby Sams home, the hero aura cleared, leaving only light, fire, dinner, his wife and daughter, which is the highlight of the story. After seeing the suffering in the film, people will know better how to value a quiet life.3 Reasons for the Booming of American
