1、文档供参考，可复制、编制，期待您的好评与关注！ week1-并列连词对连词的理解英语中，连词是一种虚词，在句中不能单独使用。它可以连接词与词，短语与短语，句子与句子，也可以连接各类从句。连词可分为两类：并列连词和从属连词。并列连词表示词、短语、从句或句子彼此之间具有并列关系。并列连词分为转折、联合、因果、选择四类；从属连词是用来引导各类从句的连词。 并列连词 并列连词用来连接具有并列关系的词，短语或句子。常见并列连词有：1、表并列关系的and, bothand, not onlybut also, neithernor等。例1、I could speak_Japanese_Chinese，so

2、 I had to talk with him in English.A.not only; but also B. both; and C. neither; nor D. either; or【解题点拨】 答案为C。 根据后一分句的意思“因此我不得不用英语跟他交谈”可知，“我”既不会说日语也不会说汉语，因此空白处应填表示完全否定意义的并列连词“neither.nor.”。例2_you_he is able to ski but I am.A. Both; and B. Not only; but also C. Either; or D. Neither; nor【解题点拨】答案为D。根据

3、谓语动词is可排除A项；由but I am可知，前一分句应为否定句。2、表选择关系的or, eitheror等。例：“You cant have them both. You can choose_the kite_ the toy car.”A. either； or B. both； and C. not only；but also【解题点拨】 答案为A。 由Youcant have them both我们可知，后一句中含选择意义。故空白处应填“either . or(或者或者)”。3、表转折关系的but, while, however等。例：Tony is a clever boy, _

6、become（后接名词需要冠词）, grow, turn（后接名词不用冠词）, fall, get, go, come,run. make,work。She grew rich within a short time.她没多长时间就富了The weather gets warmer and the days get longer in spring.春天天气越来越暖和，白天越来越长。It was growing dark.天色渐渐暗下来。The fox may grow grey, but never good.狐狸会变老，但不会变好。（谚语）Eggs can go bad easily in

7、 summer.夏季，鸡蛋容易变坏His horse fell lame.他的马瘸了。The child fell asleep while he was doing his homework. 孩子在做作业时睡着了.Twenty years later, he turned teacher. 9、况等的继续或保持。After his election to a high office, he remained modest.在被选为高级领导干部之后他仍然谦虚。The weather has stayed hot recently.最近天气一直很热。The door stood open.门开着。He stood quite still 他静静地站看。Our Party must stand firm in the forefront of the times我们党必须坚定地站在时代潮流的前头What I ate lies heavy on my stomach. 我吃下的东西滞留在胃里
