English come from Britain and Britain is the cradle of English. it was introduced to other parts of the world with Britishs colonization several centuries ago. Similarly, British English was firstly intro

5、duced to America in the early 17th century. American English is evolved from British English. Looking from range of the world, the countries use British English: Britain, Australia, Ireland, India, Pakistan, Singapore and so on. The countries use American English: the United States, the Philippines,

The following verbs have two acceptable forms of the past simple/past participle in both American and British English, however, the irregular form is generally more common in British English (the first form of the two) and the regular form is more co

In spoken American English it is very common to use the simple past tense as an alternative in situations where the present perfect would usually have been used in British English.（2） Verb agreement with collective nouns. In British English collective nouns
