1、牛津8B Chapter 1（一）冠词用法归纳冠词是虚词，不能单独作句子成分，它们用于名词之前，用来说明名词所指事物的意义。冠词分不定冠词和定冠词两类，现分别说明如下：A 不定冠词不定冠词一般只用在单数可数名词之前。不定冠词有两种形式，即a，an。a用于以辅音音素开始的名词前，an用于以元音音素开始的名词前。例如：a desk，a woman；an apple，an old man。须注意的是，以元音字母开头的单词并不都是以元音音素开头，以辅音字母开头的单词也并不都是以辅音音素开头，请看下面三例：1）a useful animal（u是元音字母，但它读ju:，属辅音音素开头。）2）There

2、is an “x” in the word “box”。（x虽是一个辅音字母，但它读eks，以元音音素开头。）3）an hour（hour读au ，h不发音，属元音音素开头。）基本用法：1、指人或事物的某一种类。例如：He is a teacher.(不是医生或其它)/Give me an orange，please.(不是苹果)2、表示类别，以个体代替整体。例如：A car goes faster than a bike.小汽车比自行车快。注意：以上两点中的不定冠词主要帮助表示类别。汉语中冠词的这种用法有时翻译不出来，因此要特别注意。一般来说，单数可数名词如果是泛指，前面总要加不定冠词。、指

3、某人或某物，但不具体说明是何人或何物。例如：A man is waiting for you at the gate.有人在门口等你。He has just come back from a factory in Beijing.他刚从北京某工厂回来。、表示单位，作“每一”讲。如five kilometres an hour，five lessons a week, once a month等。5、表示“一”的概念，但意义没有one强烈。例如：I have a pen.我有一支钢笔。与two作对比时只用one。例如：I have only one pen，not two.6、用于某些固定词组中

4、。例如：a few (bit，little)，have a cold，give a talk，go for a walk等。B 定冠词定冠词the 几乎可用于所有形式或类别的名词之前。其主要用法有：1、特指某（些）人或物。例如：The book on the desk is mine./Beijing is the capital of China./What do you think of the music?2、指交谈双方都熟知的人或物。例如：Open the door，please./Where is the teacher?3、特指上文提过的人或物。例如：There was a cha

5、ir by the window./On the chair sat a woman with a baby in her arms .The baby was thin.、用于世界上独一无二的事物前，序数词、形容词最高级及表示方位的名词前。例如：This is the first lesson./Li Lei is the tallest of the three./The sun rises in the east.、用在某些专有名词前：1）在江河、山脉、海洋、湖泊、群岛的名称前。例如：the Yellow River2）含有普通名词的专有名词前。例如：the Great Wall，the

6、 Peoples Republic of China.3）用在姓氏复数前表一家人或夫妻二人。例如：the Wangs，the Reads6、在乐器名称前。例如：play the piano7、用在单数可数名词前表类别，这时与不定冠词、名词复数用法相同。例如：The/A horse is a useful animal. Horses are useful animals.8、与某些形容词连用，表一类人。例如：the rich(富人)，the old(老人)，the blind(盲人)9、用于某些固定短语中。例如：in the day, by the way, in the morning, g

7、o to the cinemaC 名词前不用冠词的情况（零冠词）：1、某些专有名词，如国名、地名、人名，抽象名词和物质名词泛指时。例如:Wang Lin has been in China for a year./We love science./Paper is made from wood.2、复数表类别。例如：She likes reading stories. Theyre teachers.3、词前已有作定语用的this，that，my，your，some，any等代词时。例如：The letter is in her bag.4、在节日、日期、月份、季节前。例如：in autumn

8、，on Sunday，in May，on Teachers Day 5、在称呼语或表示头衔名词前。例如：Whats the matter，Granny?6、三餐饭和球类运动的名词前。例如：have breakfast，play basketball7、“专有名词普通名词”构成的表示街名、路名、公园等名词前。例如：Zhongshan Road，London Bridge，Hyde Park(海德公园)8、在某些固定短语中。例如：at night(noon)，at home，by train，in town等9、某些个体名词意义抽象化时。例如：go to bed，at school，in hosp
