1、2014年10月英语教学设计English Teaching Design课题材料: 英语必修4 Module 4 The Student Who Asks Questions (Reading) NSE Book Four (必修) 教师: 周 辉 工作单位: 贵州省六枝特区实验中学 2014年10月21日 Module 4 Great Scientists 课题材料 设计思想阅读课的目的是训练学生的阅读理解能力,本节课的设计遵循“以人为本”的教育理念和以学生为主体的原则,充分考虑高中阶段学生学习语言和人格塑造的发展性要求,全面培养学生的综合语言运用能力,特别是在听、说、读和写的能力,同时帮

2、助他们开拓思维和想象。这节课以“Great Scientists” 为话题,介绍了我国科学家袁隆平和世界著名的科学家霍金,通过对伟大科学家的介绍,也使学生了解他们的生平和主要贡献,学习他们勤奋专研,献身科学的精神。引到学生了解世界发展的趋势,了解可持续发展的必要性。旨在通过对Reading and vocabulary的学习,使学生学会一些重点单词,短语及句型结构,并能通过学习,培养乐观的生活态度。因学生的阅读能力还有待于提高,通过朗读,复述、提问及改错、语篇填空和讨论环节的设置,提高他们的阅读理解能力和口头及书面表达能力。语言知识目标语音课文句子的语音和语调词汇staple, produce

4、及其科学成就;语言技能目标听能听懂关于科学家的生平和贡献的主要信息,了解他们从事的的科学研究的基本情况;在听的过程中能捕捉关键点信息,回答相关的问题;能正确理解形容词、副词的比较级所表达的含义;说运用本模块所学词汇和短语介绍著名科学家;口头表达时正确读出多音节单词的重音。读阅读中能识别新学词汇、短语并推断出意义;正确理解介绍科学家袁隆平、霍金的短文;注意寻读等阅读技巧,能快速准确地从阅读文章中找到相关问题的答案。写作业:运用本模块所学词汇和短语、完成所有书面联系;介绍人物生平类文章的主要特点,能够将教材所提供的有关爱伊斯坦生平的句子连接成行文连贯且符合逻辑、信息完整的短文。表达与展示说出与科学

5、或科学家有关的词语、短语;能用自己的语言介绍科学家袁隆平、钱学森、居里夫人、爱因斯坦和霍金,学习策略根据不同学科分类归纳和记忆单词;使用被动语态促进书面和口头交际的表达效果;以时间顺序为线索理解和撰写人物介绍类的文章。文化意识了解世界著名科学家的生平和贡献;情感态度学习科学家们献身科学、追求真理,为人类的幸福和进步不懈奋斗的精神。任务个人翻译、全班朗读、短文复述,介绍一位著名科学家的生平,形成文稿。英语(新课标)必修四Module4 Great Scientists Reading and vocabulary The Student Who Asked Questions 教学设计 教学内容

7、eplace, quantity, quality结构语法:Revision of the passive voice其他By+ing form 教学目标语言知识能理解相关生词在所学材料中的含义;掌握“伟大科学家”的相关词汇和短语。语言技能Reading;能从文章中获取和处理主要信息和所需信息Speaking;能熟练的说出含有“伟大科学家”的相关词汇和短语的句子或语段Listening:能够在听的过程中抓住对话的主题;Writing; 能熟练说出被动语态用法的句子或语段。语言运用能以“伟大科学家”为主题进行交谈,并在交谈中准确使用相关词汇。文化意识在使用英语的过程中,能发现隐含在语言中的对他国

8、文化的态度。情感态度能通过学习英语文化的交际方式,提高跨文化的态度。学习策略从不同角度认知新学语言项目,即关注语言项目的形式,有关注其意义及用法。根据语言使用环境,调整语言风格。交际中克服语言障碍,维持交际。教学重点了解“伟大科学家”的常见话题;学习描述伟大科学家表达方法;复习-ing形式和被动语态用法。教学难点-ing形式和被动语态用法运用任务要求学生在PPT上看一系列的图画,然后带领全班同学完成任务。Task of Period1:Reading and vocabulary学生通过-ing形式和被动语态用法、图画的词汇,引入了科学家和科学词汇,为模块写有关描述科学家和科学的写作积累了词汇

29、多, 农民们成年累月种田栽稻, 还是满足不了”吃”的需要粮食产量低, 是我国经济发展的一个大障碍农业科技工作者袁隆平决心为国攻关, 解决这个难题 袁隆平是湖南一个镇上的农校教员虽然工作条件差, 可他一心扑在科研工作上每天除了教学外, 就是在试验田里培育高产品种在试验中, 他发现天然杂交水稻穗大粒饱, 产量高, 但是第二年再种, 就退化了, 失去了优势他就想进行一种试验, 培育能保持高产的杂交水稻的种子为了这个理想, 袁隆平不知花费了多少精力, 有时候在试验田里观察, 连家也顾不上回经过10 年的艰苦努力, 终於培育成功了这种杂交水稻亩产达到1000多斤, 在全国推广后, 我国稻谷在几年中增产了

30、1000 多亿公斤, 真是一个飞跃! 袁隆平获得了国家第一个特等发明奖美国等国也引进了他的成果他被称为”杂交水稻”之父, 为改变我国粮食生产的落后状态打了一个翻身仗2.科学家霍金3.
