1、Unit 8 When is your birthday ?一、教学目标:本单元主要学习日期的表达方式。通过围绕生日进行互相问答式的讨论,掌握英语表达年、月、日的单词和句型,能够熟练地谈论各种有关日期的话题,询问表达年龄的句型。可以询问节日的表达法。二、语言目标:掌握以下句型1When is your birthday? My birthday is November 11th.2How old are you? Im thirteen years old.3What events do you have at your school?We have an Art Festival each

2、year.4. Do you have a pop concert? Sorry, I dont know.5. When is the school trip? Its in April.6. When were you born? The students try to remember the words of the months.5. Listening to 2b conversations and number them 1-3.6. Pairwork: Practise the con

5、versations “When is your/his /her birthday ?” “”7. 2a. Listen to the recorder several times and repeat them.8. Ss try to find the rule of the ordinal numbers and the teacher writes them on the Bb.9. 2b, 2c : Listen and match the names , months , days. 10. Homework: Workbook, Copy new words and sente

How old are you? 5. 3a: Point out the conversations and read with students, practice “How old are you?” Point to the three ID cards and ask questions about them.6. 3b: Pairwork First students make their own ID cards.
