Whats this in English?(1) Whats this？意思是“这是什么？”，用来询问近处的单数物品。这是一个特殊疑问句，用来提问的疑问词总放在句子开头，与汉语的语序不相同。回答用Its句型(2) .in English 有两种意思：一是“用英语”，二是“在英语里”，这里是用英语的意思。用某种语言要用介词in，如in English用英语；in Chinese用中文。2. Its a book. 它是一本书(1) Its是It is的缩写，意思是“它是”。注：its its

5、。.its是it的所有格形式，表示“它的”。常见的be动词的缩写形式有：Im=I am Theyre= They areThats=That is Were=We areIts=It is Youre= You areHes=He is Whatre=What areShes=She is Wherere=Where areWhats= What is Wheres=Where is(2) a不定冠词，意为“一（个；件）”.a与an是不定冠词，意思是一个、支、把，但不强调“一”这个数量，二强调类别，常与单数名词一起使用。区别在于a用于辅音因素开头的单数名词；an则用于元音因素开头的单数名词前。

6、例如：.a book .a bike . a desk.an egg .an orange .an old man音素：判断的依据是看音素，而不是看字幕，元音字母只有5个，a,e,I,o,u而元音音素可有二十个。如例：.a “u” letter （一个u字母）这里用a是因为u的音标为ju:，其第一个音素是j，并不是元音音素，所以选择a而不选an 仍有其他例子：.an “s” letter （一个s字母）这里用a是因为s的音标为es，其第一个音素是e，是元音音素，所以选择an而不选a题目：选择an或a_ useful book 一本有用的书_ hour 一小时_ elephant is _ us
