Butterflies and little bees were flying about. Then some naughty children with sticks came. One child swung his stick when he saw

Not knowing what else to do, the two survivors agreed that they had no other recourse than to pray to God.However, to find out

、whose prayers were more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island. The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the island, and he was able to eat its fruit. But the other ma

、ns part of land remained barren. After a week, the first man became lonely and decided to pray for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the island. But on the other side of the island, there was nothing.Soon thereafter the first man

、prayed for a house, clothes and more food. The next day, like magic, all of these things were given to him. However, the second man still had nothing. Finally, the first man prayed for a ship so that he and his wife could leave the island, and in the morning he found a ship docked at his side of the

、island. The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island, considering the other man unworthy to receive Gods blessings since none of his prayers had been answered. As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from Heaven booming, Why are you

、 leaving your companion on the island?”My blessings are mine alone since I was the one who prayed for them, the first man answered. His prayers were all unanswered and so he doesnt deserve anything. You are mistaken! the voice rebuked him. He had only one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you

One day, they happened to discover two large bag of cotton in the mountain and felt surprisingly happy. The cotton was light but valuable, so they carried it on th

、eir back and went back home. When they were walking home, one of the woodsmen spotted a large bundle of cloth beside the road. So he discussed with his partner whether to discard the cotton and take the cloth instead. But his partner held a different view that since he had carried the cotton for such

、 a long way, he would not change it with cloth because all his previous effort would turn out to be in vain. Therefore, the other woodsman abandoned the cotton and carried the cloth on his back. After walking for a while, the woodsman who carried the cloth spotted several jars of gold disseminated on

、 the ground not far away. He felt so thrilled that he was going to be a wealthy man. So he gave up the cloth and used his carrying pole to carry two jars of gold, while his partner was still reluctant to abandon the cotton and wondering whether the gold was real or not.14.We should not hesitate too

、much during the first half of our lives, while we should not regret at what weve done during the other half. We should seize every opportunity to find a way out in our lives, for it goes off swiftly. We should say something urgent slowly, something serious clearly, something small humorously and som

、ething unsure cautiously. We should never say something that did not happen, something that you cannot do, something that does harm to others, and something that is disgusting. We should tell others our happiness in specific occasions and should not tell anyone our unhappiness. Do not easily say som

、ething about others. We should follow our own heart and interest, and fulfill what we should do instead of merely paying lip service and looking forward to the future.Everyone is craving for a happy life, but owning wealth does not necessarily mean owning happiness. To truly reach happiness, we need

、 to know how to get on with others. So we need to understand the core of happiness and achieve what we desire.Without happiness, one will feel terribly miserable, for he always insists that he has done the right thing all the time and that others often do wrong to him. He attributes every mistake to

、 others or the environment instead of reflecting on himself, which renders him farther and farther away from happiness. A celebrity once said, “Nobody intends to make mistake. One makes mistake because of his igorance.” Therefore, if someone makes mistake, we need to care about him, forgive him and

、enlighten him by setting a good example for him instead of losing temper, hatred to him. Othewise, we arealso ingorant like him, for we alsomake a stupid mistake that leads us farther from happiness.15.Im Special我就是我In the entire world theres nobody like me. Hearing the news, she just smiled frankly and did not stop making up. She

、 made up very delicately for that show. After ten minutes, she showed on the stage and kept a charming smile as well as a steady tone as usual. She interacted with the audience and threw out quite a few of jokes that deeply pleased her audience. Returning back to the make-up room, she cleansed her makeup and still maintained calm. Her friend felt it incredible: Why she could bear when her husband fooled around with other woman while she was performing? There was another woman singer having the similar experience. When she reached the age of retirement, she suffered the change of ma
