3、bout 或what about ?后面接名词或代词;若跟动词,则用动名词。It is Sunday tomorrow. What about going hiking?3. No, thats interesting enough.enough的用法:1) enough作形容词,意思是“足够的,充分的”,作定语修饰名词,可放在名词前或名词后。We have enough time to do our homework.2) 作为副词,通常放在形容词、副词的后面,意为“足够地,充分地”I know him well enough.注意:1)enough不能与no连用。(错误) I have n

4、o enough money to buy a car.(正确) I dont have enough money to buy a car.2) enough用作形容词时,不能用very修饰,但可以用quite修饰。We have quite enough time.4. Whats the best gift Joe has ever received?gift 与present两者的区别:区别一:作为名词,present不仅有礼物的意思,还有“现在,目前”“现在时态”“本文件”的意思,而gift则有“天赋,才能”的意思区别二:作为动词,两者都有“赠送礼物的意思”,而相比较present更

5、为正式。gift则有“赋予”的意思,如:He was gifted with a good voice.他天生一个好嗓子。而present没有。区别三:present有形容词意思“现在的,在场的”而gift则没有形容词形式present 和 gift 虽然意思相同,但本质却不相同。前者给予者和接受者含有在亲朋好友之间的关系,而后者指给予的人是帮助过自己的人(不是亲朋好友)或组织、机构的东西、钱。前者值钱不多,后者就不一定了。5. Who give it to him?6. What a lucky guy!1) 此句是由what引导的感叹句。常用结构为:What (+冠词)+ 形容词+名词+主

6、谓结构!How+ 形容词或副词+主谓结构其中主谓结构有时可以省略。What an interesting book! = How interesting the book is!7. Is it someone in your family?it在此指人,在句中作主语。在不清楚对方的性别或性别不重要时,常用it代替。-Who are you?-Its me.it 还有其他用法:(1). 指代前面提到的事物。This skirt is beautiful. Its Marys.(2) 代替指示代词this,that。如:Whats that? Its a pen.(3) 指代婴儿或身份不明的人,

7、如:Someone is knocking at the door.Please go and see who it is .(4) 指代季节或时间。如:Whats the time ? Its ten oclock.(5)指天气。Today is a good day. Its sunny.(6)指代距离。How far is it from your home to your school?(7) 用作形式主语,用于以下句型中:1)It is +adj.+(for/of sb.)to do sth.2)Its time to do/ for/that3)It seems that4)Its

8、 ones turn to do5)Its +adj.+that8. not friendly enoughfriendly 是形容词,常用词组为be friendly to对友好He is friendly to everyone.在英语中,有些形容词后面加ly构成副词。但是有些加ly的形容词依旧是形容词,如lovely9. I think a dog is good pet for a 6-year-old child.10. Dogs are too difficult to take care of.1) too.to.“太而不能”。表示否定意义,too后接形容词或副词的原级,to后跟

9、动词原形。The child is too young to take good care of himself.too.to的其他用法:tooadj./adv.for sb./ sth. to do 在too.to结构中加上一个for sb./sth.,以提示动词不定式的逻辑主语,可以起到一定的限制作用,即限制不定式所表示的动作行为只是就它的逻辑主语而言的,对于其他人或物则不一定是这样,这就使句子意思更具体、明白。例如:English is too difficult for me to learn well.英语太难,我学不好。当句子主语是物时,不定式后不再用it作宾语。这个箱子太重,我搬

10、不动。误:This box is too heavy for me to carry it.正:This box is too heavy for me to carry. too.to.结构常和“not.enough to”或“so.that.”互换。2) take care of = look after11. What are the advantages and disadvantages of keeping such a pet?such 与so1) such后面主要是修饰名词。即:sucha/anadj.n.或a/ansuchadj.n.。如果名词是不可数名词或复数名词,则不可以

11、用不定冠词a或an。如:He has such a beautiful bike. We all go to see it.Its a such fine day. We al want to go to fly a kite.2) so后面只能跟形容词或副词。即:和soadj.或adv.不过,so后面也可以跟名词,但该名词必须是单数可数名词。用法为:so+形容词+a或an+单数可数名词。如:The tiger is so big. And the cat is so small.She is so lovely a girl.3) 它们后面还可以与that从句连用。即:suchthat和so

12、that意思是“如此以致”。如:She is such a clever girl that she can make much progress in math exam.His brother is so young that he cant go to school.注:当名词前的形容词为表示数目的词时,such必须换成so。如:There are so many people that we cant go past.I ate so much food that I didnt want to go any farther. 12. In the America, some people ask their families and friends to give money to charity rather than buy them gifts.rather than的用法:(1) rather than 与would 连用时,构成“would rather.than.”句式,意思是“宁愿而不愿”,表示主观愿望,即在两者之中选择其一。例如:Shed rath

15、er die than lose the children. 她宁愿死也不愿失去孩子们。(2) rather than 不与would连用时,表示客观事实,意为“是而不是;与其不如”。它连接的并列成分可以是名词、代词、形容词、介词(短语)、动名词、分句、不定式、动词等。现分述如下:1) 连接两个名词或代词He is an explorer rather than a sailor. 与其说他是一个海员,不如说他是一个探险者。You rather than I are going to go camping. 是你而不是我要去要野营。注意:rather than 连接两个名词或代词作主语时,谓语

16、动词应与rather than 前面的名词或代词在人称和数上保持一致。2) 连接两个形容词The sweater she bought was beautiful rather than cheap. 与其说她买的这件羊毛衫便宜不如说它漂亮。3) 连接两个介词(短语)或动名词We will have the meeting in the classroom rather than in the great hall. 我们是在教室里开会,不是在大厅里。She enjoys singing rather than dancing. 她喜欢唱歌,而不喜欢跳舞。4) 连接两个分句We should

17、help him rather than he should help us. 是我们应该帮助他而不是他应该帮助我们。5) 连接两个不定式I decided to write rather than (to) telephone. 我决定写信而不打电话。注意:rather than 后接不定式时,不定式可以带to,也可以不带to, 如上句。但rather than位于句首时,则只能接不带to 的不定式。如:Rather than allow the vegetables to go bad, he sold them at half price. 他唯恐蔬菜烂掉,把它们以半价卖掉了。6) 连接

18、两个动词He ran rather than walked. 他是跑来的,而不是走来的。18. In Sweden, doing something for someone is the best gift.语法:表示建议的句型1.“What/How about + 名词/代词或v-ing?”意为“怎么样?”What/How about a hot bath?2. “Lets +动词原形,Shall we?”意思是“让我们,好吗?”Lets go to a restaurant, shall we?3. “Shall I/ we?”意思是“我/我们好吗?”如:Shall I call him

19、back?4. “Why not/dont you+动词原形+”意思是“为什么不?”Why not get her a scarf?5. “Youd better (not) ”意思是“你最好(不)做”Youd better not watch TV too much.6. 用should,ought to 等情态动词提建议时,语气比较委婉、客气。You should finish your homework as soon as possible.7. Would you like (to do) sth? 意思是“你想要吗?”Would you like a cup of tea?针对以上
