During this period it is anticipated that regulatory authorities will

18、 approve tackers to either standard.The objective of this Standard is to provide manufacturers, designers, regulatory authorities, testing laboratories and similar organizations with safety requirements designed to give the user protection against hazards that might occur during normal operation and

19、 abnormal operation of the tool and which may be used as the basis for approval for sale or for connection to the electricity supply mains in Australia and New ZealandThis Standard is an adoption with national modifications and contains the full text of the second edition of IEC 60745-2-16, Hand-hel

20、d motor-operated electric tools Safety Part 2-16: Particular requirements for tackers and has been varied as indicated to take account ofAustralian and New Zealand conditions.This part is to be used in conjunction with AS/NZS 60745.1:2009 and its amendments. The Parts 2 contain clauses to supplement

21、 or modify the corresponding clauses in this part to provide the relevant requirements for each type of tool.NOTE 1 The following print types are used:requirements: in roman type;test specifications: in italic type;notes: in small roman type.The numbering of clauses, subclauses, notes, tables, figur

22、es and annexes follows that of IEC60745-2-16 Ed 2.0. To allow for the introduction of additional material by the IEC, the numbers 201 to 300 have been reserved. To allow for additional material to be introduced by Australia and New Zealand, the numbers 301 to 400 are used to number further clauses,

23、subclauses, notes, tables and figures in part 1. Additional annexes are lettered ZA, ZB and so on.This scheme has been introduced to reduce the likelihood of the IEC and Australia and NewZealand using the same identifier for different purposes.The use of the word VOID indicates that the IEC text is

24、not used in Australia or New Zealand. The term tacker in these warnings may be replaced by a specific tool designation, such as stapler, nailer, etc.8.12.1.101Safety instructions for tackersTacker safety warningsAlways assume that the tool contains fasteners. Careless handling of

41、 the tacker can result in unexpected firing of fasteners and personal injury.Do not point the tool towards yourself or anyone nearby. Unexpected triggering will discharge the fastener causing an injury.Do not actuate the tool unless the tool is placed firmly against the workpiece. If the tool is not

42、 in contact with the workpiece, the fastener may be deflected away from your target.Disconnect the tool from the power source when the fastener jams in the tool. While removing a jammed fastener, the tacker may be accidentally activated if it is plugged in.Use caution while removing a jammed fastene

43、r.The mechanism may be under compression and the fastener may be forcefully discharged while attempting to free a jammed condition.NOTEThis warning may be omitted for tackers that do not utilize a stored potential energy to drive the fasteners.When fastening electrical cables, make sure the cables a

44、re not energized. Hold the tacker only by insulated gripping surfaces. Use only fasteners designed for electrical cable installations. Inspect that the fastener has not damaged the insulation of the electrical cables. A fastener that damages the insulation of electric cables can lead to electric sho

45、ck and fire hazards.NOTEThis warning to be provided for tackers suitable for fixing electric cables.Do not use this tacker for fastening electrical cables. It is not designed for electric cable installation and may damage the insulation of electric cables thereby causing electric shock or fire hazar
