18、i. vt.坚持或坚决要求；坚持认为用法点睛 insist on/upon 坚持；坚决主张insist + that从句，当表示“坚持要求、坚决主张”时，从句用should型虚拟语气，即“should+动词原形”，should可以省略；当其表示“坚持认为某事（正确、错误、为事实等）”时，从句则用陈述语气。如：They insisted that everyone (should) come to the party.他们坚持要求每个人都来参加聚会。Mike insisted that he was right.迈克坚持认为他是正确的。He insisted upon checking ever
