Im so honored to be given the chance to share my lesson with you. Today Ill talk about my design of writing in unit 2 students book II of Grade

2、 8.As we know, Writing is as an important skill as listening, speaking and reading. And that is what I want to emphasize in this teaching period.Now I will be ready to begin my lesson from the following aspects:. Analysis of teaching materialII. Analysis of students. The teaching aimsIV. The teachin

3、g difficultiesV. The teaching proceduresVI. The blackboard design.Ok, First, lets look at the analysis of teaching materialWriting is the 6th period of Unit 2. After learning this unit, students should have a deep understanding about the topic of the unit and then they learn how to write a compositi

4、on.II.As for students, they have learnt English for a long time. But their basic isnt good. They are especially weak in writing. And the writing is very important in exams. So I must try my best to improve the studentswriting skills. In this unit, the Ss have learned some phrases about volunteer wor

5、k. . The teaching aims include three points knowledge object:(1) Try to make the students grasp some useful words and expressions. And write the correct sentences.(2) In this class, they will be able to express their ideas under the teachers guidance.(3) After learning,get Ss know how to write a com

6、position and Enable Ss to write a good one.As for Ability object(1)Most of the students are weak in writing. Through writing the composition, I can improve students writing abilities. I will make full use of this lesson to stimulate the students learning motivation and improve their ability of coope

7、rating with each other through discussing.(2) Develop their ability of summing up their ideas.Emotion object(1).Help the students know much about volunteer work. (2).cultivate students excellent qualities of helping those who were in difficulty and the passion for public welfare IV. Then, lets say s

8、omething about the teaching important and difficult points .Thats to develop Ss ability of summing up their ideas. And get Ss to be able to make sentences by using key words.Now I will mainly talk about my teaching procedures:Step one warming upIn order to cause a good surrounding for students. Ill

9、begin my lesson with a well-known song. And let the students guess the name of the song. The song is “let the world be full of love”. Then I will ask them “What does the song tell us?” The student may answer: “ It tells us to help others.” At the same time, I will show them some pictures. These pict

10、ures are about some famous actors helping others. For example, Yao Ming donate his blood to the patients. Pu Cunyi is a volunteer to help the people who have Aids, and so on. The students know all of these famous actors, so they must be interested in these things. It can make students pay more atten

11、tion and they will learn from them.Step two Presentation In this step, First Ill show a photo of a crying girl. The students may be surprised and want to know whats wrong with her. Ill tell the students she is a left-behind child whose parents go out to make a living. The left-behind children belong

12、 to a special group in china. No one cares about them, although the old grandparents try their best to look after them. They still have a lot of problems in study and psychology . So I call for students to think it over “What we can do for the children?” Maybe I can help them with their study, becau

13、se I am a teacher and Im good at teaching. Or someone is interested in painting , well organize an art club to teach the left-behind children how to draw. This activity helps the students speak phrases or sentences step by step under the teachers guidance. After that, let them enjoy a model composit

14、ion. It helps a lot.Step 3 Practice Ill go on my topic, ask students “Do you often help others? What other people do you think need our help? And What can we do for them? With these three questions, I show some other pictures of different groups of people to arouse Ss sympathy and the aspiration of

15、helping others.Meanwhile, Ss can choose who they want to help and collect the useful phrases and information.At this time, I will let them talk and begin my next stop Step four Pairwork1. Ask Ss to work in pairs to talk about their hobbies.2. Talk about what kind of volunteer work do they want to do

16、?3. What can they do for them?From this part, students can think about their topic independently at first. When they discuss, they can practice speaking the complete sentences discussing and exchange the useful information. They can also learn how to cooperate with each other. Step five Pre-writingI

17、ts time to show. Students can stand up to show their conversations which were discussed in step three. I will ask another student to write down the key words or phrases on the blackboard. when they finish it , the other students try to find out the mistakes. This step makes all the students pay more

18、 attention to fallible mistakes in writing. Step six While-writing Step by step, Ss have known some sentences in their brain. So I will give Ss enough time to write down their ideas according to the questions on the black board. The questions help them have a clear outline. Step seven Post-writingAf

19、ter writing, I choose some good samples to show on the screen. Let the writer read it aloud and the others correct mistakes for him. These are the samples I pick out. The Ss write well. Step eight Conclusion Through showing the samples of students, summarize Ss writing skills. Ask them to pay attent

20、ion to their writing. . After studying the lesson, I want to train the emotion of helping others and taking care of the disadvantaged groups, make the students think about what is the meaning of the life . Let them believe if everyone can do something, our world will become more beautiful. That s all ,thank you!
