My brother was singing _while_ my mother was cooking.有效精讲精讲目标:掌握when 和while 引导的时间状语从句 精讲方式:层进式精讲内容:Step 11. 核对习题答案,请同学总结when和while 的用法。When和while都可用作连词,引导时间状语从句,意思是“当时候”。 when引导时间状语从句时,从句的谓语动词既可以是延续性动词也可以是非延续性

12、动词。而while引导时间状语从句时,从句的谓语动词常常是延续性动词。当强调主角的动作和从句的动作同时发生时,常用while引导从句。2.请同学补充说明何为延续性动词和非延续性动词。动词按其动作发生的方式、动作发生过程的长短,可分为延续性动词和终止性动词。 A.延续性动词表示能够延续的动作。如:learn, work, stand, lie, know, walk, keep, have, wait, watch, sing, read, sleep, live, stay等。延续性动词可以与表示时间段的状语连用。B.非延续性动词也可称为终止性动词、瞬间动词、点动词,表示的动作不能延续,即动作
