5、suction porthas to be vapour free. To obtain this condition, the suction line has to be:As short as possible and well insulated.Pressure drop in the line should be as low as possible.Avoid sharp bends and gas traps .Dimension suction line for optimal liquid velocity.The pipe diameter should be selec
6、ted and designed for flow with an average velocity of approx. 2m/sec. If two pumps are connected to one tank outlet, the split of the line should be in ” Y “ shape.Branch valves to be as close as possible to the main line.No loads applied to the pump. 7、eter adequate to avoid extreme pressure drop and same size as vaporizer (if applicable).Protected by safety valve. 8、 purgingConnections for nitrogen purge are available on certain types of pumps.Nitrogen purge recommended to prevent humidity entering seal areas and gearbox.Continuous purge during cold stand-by recommended. 9、f a stainless steel filter.For O2 service, check if monel 400 is required or if stainless steel is accepted (lower cost).The available curves show the maximum pressure drop depending on filter size and on flow.FlexiblesWhen flexibles are included in Cryostars scope, the velocity must be always less
10、than 5m/s because of vibration problems and resonance. Take into consideration the data shown on the available data sheet for flexible sizes according to the flow.The flexible section is not an expansion joint.Flexibles are meant to stop vibrations and to compensate pipe misalignment.
