1、Chapter 2 Two Geniuses-Reading一、 章节分析(Reading section )(一)综述本单元向我们讲述了发生在爱因斯坦身上真实的事情。并不是我们想象中的大科学家治学的故事,而是他跟大家开了一场玩笑,反映出他幽默的一面。1 先确定Main characters? Setting? Time? Place? 再理清storyline:Beginning? Development? Climax? Ending?这样也为之后的写作做好铺垫。2 可以利用文章中的图片预测故事,或让学生阅读到某一段停下,关上课本,对接下去的故事情节进行预测。3 可以引导学生讨论什么样的人

2、算是天才。天赋就等于成功么?也可以引导学生讨论生活或学习的方法。是不是额外需要一份好奇心、想象、创造力、甚至幽默?(二)阅读目标1 知识目标学习课文中重点词、词组、句型和语法。2 能力目标提高学生的阅读理解能力和培养学生的想象力。了解故事体裁的必备要素。3 情感目标帮助学生对how to treat the genius you are born with?以及how to live a life?有一定的思考。(三)教学方法任务型教学法组织教学。(四)重点和难点1 词汇学习1) 核心词汇l applausel attemptl curiosityl eventuallyl geniusl g

Youre a girl and youre only nine,” taunted Marvin. “Marvin, be polite to your sister,” Veronica admonished. “Yes, maam,” he said. “I apologize, dear little sister.” “That didnt sound very sincere, mommy,” Rebecca

16、 complained. “Okay, heres how Ill keep the animals from eating each other. I already thought of that, of course. The solution is a pill that will make all animals like to eat grass, like the cows and sheep do. That way no more animals will eat each other, and kids wont have to mow the lawn any more.

17、 So, that will kill two birds with one stone.” “Well, thats very clever,” Veronica told Marvin. “Now, tell us about your day, Rebecca,” Veronica said. “Well, as you know, mommy, Im going to be a real doctor like you, not a mad scientist like somebody I know,” Rebecca started, and then stuck her tong
