、fe can compensate for each others shortcomings D.

C. the strength of emotional ties C. D. the emphasis of intellectual development D.

3. 22、earn to read more quickly with the help of their fathers.

4. 25、re, the cleverer the kids C. D. girls usually do better than boys academically D.

5. The writers main point in writing this article is _. 5. A. to warm society of increasing social problems A. 缓解社会问题的增加B. to emphasize the fathers role in the family B. C. to discuss the r

、esponsibilities of fathers C. D. to show sympathy for one-parent families D.

New parents are annoying. They think you want to hear about every gurgle and baby-step. But it could be worse. It was a large-scale and longitudinal study. C. It was a systematic and time-consuming study.

D. It tracked the salaries of ten employees from every firm.

2. According to the passage, once they become fathers, male bosses tend to _. 2. A. pay more to those with sons A. B. make the firm earn more money B. C. differ due to factors such as age etc. D. take more money from their underlin

3. The study reveals that upon stepping into fatherhood, _. 3. A. employees need to work harder than bosses A. B. bosses and employees differ in their options of

、Male employees differ from others. D. Male employees complain about the situation. Male employe

D. just like men D.

Most worthwhile careers require some kind of specialized training. 2.【选项释义】A. thereby因此;由此 B. however不管怎样;无论如何;然而C. though尽管 D. therefore因此【考查点】句间逻辑。

5.【选项释义】A. little不多;稍许 B. few不多,很少;几乎没有C. much非常;更加 D. a lot许多,大量【考查点】句间逻辑。 6.【选项释义】A. with和一起 B. by通过C. on在上面 D.

8.【选项释义】A. its它的 B. their他们的C. yo
